Orienteering is an outdoor navigation sport. Participants use a map and compass to find check points along a mapped course. It’s a sport for any age; beginners are always welcome and we provide instruction at all events. Come out and join us!

DVOA has been holding Orienteering events in various parks, nature centers and schools throughout our area since 1967. All events are open to the public and instructions are always available for beginners.

A Labor Day Weekend well spent for a few of our DVOA members AJ, Greg, Paige, and Patty.They went to Mikes Maze in Massachusetts for a few maze orienteering races!Some noteworthy results:1st place for Greg in the classic race Paige placed 2nd in the Night-O, mystery race, and 2nd overall female AJ came in 3rd for the Night-O
