Orienteering is an outdoor navigation sport. Participants use a map and compass to find check points along a mapped course. It’s a sport for any age; beginners are always welcome and we provide instruction at all events. Come out and join us!

DVOA has been holding Orienteering events in various parks, nature centers and schools throughout our area since 1967. All events are open to the public and instructions are always available for beginners.

In 2027, the United States Mint will release its newest quarters program highlighting youth sports played in the United States. The Mint has a survey to help determine which sports should be included, and orienteering is one of the options. Do your part and respond to the survey and tell all your friends to do the same!![]()
