Educational Services School Programs
Our instructors offer a variety of in-classroom exercises, including
instructing teachers on introducing the sport to the outdoor classroom and
providing orienteering team advisors.
School Programs have been designed to meet the need of each classroom venue
stressing the value of maps. We have offered programs ranging from
Kindergarten String-O's (simple follow-the-streamer map courses) to middle
school instructions and events to coaching school teams such as the JRROTC
students at Owen J. Roberts High School. Summer day camps and homeschoolers
are attracted to the activity as well. Instructors have formal background
checks and can provide copies of their clearance certificates upon request.
DVOA has also helped produced Orienteering maps at Owen J. Roberts High
School & Twin Valley High School in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
